Job description- Technical Support Engineer - Kenya

Areas of responsibility
  • Provide technical Support for Customer on Gilat’s products (RF and Satellite communication) including customer tickets solving, upgrades, Installation, etc.
  • Lead Demo’s World Wide related to Gilat’s products and solutions
  • Working with CRM system
  • Meet customers SLA

Interactions inside and outside the organization
  • Direct customers
  • Tech Support Engineers in Gilat offices World Wide and T3 in Head Quarter
  • Sales manager and Sales Engineers
  • Project managers
  • Vendors
  • Sub-contractors
  • Highly motivated autodidact
  • Fine Human relations
  • Customer Orientation – ability to work with departments inside the organization and customers outside the organization
  • Ability to work during weekends and holidays
  • Multitasking ability
  • Ability to go abroad ~40% a year

Desired Skills and Experience

Education
  • B.Sc Electrical Engineering – Advantage

Work Experience
  • Working in customer environment – Must
  • Be familiar with IP and networking – Must
  • Be familiar with Erath station antennas and Remote antennas – Advantage
  • Knowing satellite communication – Advantage
  • Knowledge in RF - Advantage

Languages
  • High level English – Must
